Urgent to place the orders

Due to the situation that is known by all, the price of the energy, petrol, and gas, had a huge increasing affecting all the industrial sectors. Mysupplier and our factories, have been buying all the raw materials most used in order to minimize the increase of the prices for our customers, in the next months. All the customers that want to buy their products for the best price possible, should place their orders immediately, we cannot maintain that price for too much time. The products; clothing, and shoes, should be high quality, timeless, fashionless, sustainable, and genderless (if possible), is time to take care of our planet, we cannot continue to produce products for only one season.

The second wave

With the second wave, even more severe than the first, most of the factories are experienced several difficulties due to, not infections of its own employees, but due to somebody inside their family or friends, that tested positive and they had to do the prophylactic quarantine.

In general, we can say that the infections in the work environment are being very low, more than 65% of the people are infected when they are relaxed without any protection at home.

All our factories adopted high patterns of security, besides to use of the mask and to have disinfectants for the hands everywhere (which is mandatory in Portugal inside the closed spaces), the factories also measure the temperature, and the employees must change the shoes and clothing before entering the premises.

So the prophylactic quarantine, was responsible for an average of 30% of the absences from work in the factories, causing big trouble on the production lines.

But the most penalizing for the factories, was the reduction, suspension, or cancellation of the orders from the street shops (chains).
The customers already with terrible losses on the first wave, from March to May, now besides their financial resources to be in end or even in negative balance already, they don´t believe to recover their selling at Christmas time and this way opt for not to buy.

Fortunately, our clothing factories are very well, we indeed had a few suspension of orders from the bigger customers, all with street shops, but the small customers, with webshops, took their place, and in certain products like socks, our sales grew up 15% and t-shirts 5%.

We cannot say the same about the shoe factories, most of the customers with their street shops, in Paris, London, Berlin, and Moscov, had to suspend the orders because, at that places, the citizens are now in lockdown, or if not yet, for sure they will be very soon.

So in the shoe factories is expectable a big lack of orders and for sure, most of them will need to resort to the layoff.

To try to solve that issue, Mysupplier is now driving the sales to countries like New Zeeland, Australia, Canada, the USA, and Japan, that according to our research, found several companies interested, mainly on high-quality dress shoes.

Urgent to place the orders

From the 3rd of August to the 28th, practically all our factories will be on vacation. All the customers that want to receive the winter collection before this period need to place the orders urgently. We also inform that September is always a very busy month if your plan is to receive your goods in September the orders must be placed with urgency too because the raw material need to be produced before the vacations.

We still are able to produce Knit clothing, socks, and home textiles

Due to the increment of suspected cases, we have part of our factories on vacations or in quarantine for an indeterminate time, the factories are:
– All the shoe producers;
– All the shirts and blouses producers;
– All dresses and skirts producers;
– All jackets and blazers producers;
– All the pants producers.

Still are working:
– All knit clothing producers;
– All socks producers;
– All home textile producers.

The epidemic outbreak in Portugal has a low impact until now, we have only 33 deads (most of them, old people with other diseases associated) we have 2360 cases, but only 48 are at Intensive Unit Care, 203 interned and all the rest, are healing at home with good success rate.

 Shoe factories will be closed on next two weeks.

We inform that three ora our shoe factories will be closed on the next two weeks for the following reasons:
– The main leather suppliers in Germany and France are closed for an indeterminate time, leather that we receive the weekly for the production of the orders cannot be supplied on the next weeks;
– Our main suppliers from France, Germany, and the United kingdom requested a suspension of the production for two weeks at least;
– The sew line which is 100% constituted by women, was reduced by 35%, these employees are mothers and they need to stay at home taking care of the children because the schools are closed and this way, it would be difficult to maintain the factory working properly.

Due to these reasons, we decide to close these three factories for at least two weeks.

Contingency measures

We inform that there isn´t until now cases of infection in our factories, this status will be daily updated.

To avoid the infections of our employees, since the beginning of last week, we adopted the following measures:

– Access to the production chains is not allowed for external people to the factory. So the quality control will be done by the employees of the factories, following our instructions by video-conference;
– All the communications with the factories are now only done by electronic communication:
– All the assistants and quality controllers will be working from their homes;
– For now, there are only small delays, mainly on the production of the prototypes, due to some changes in the procedures in the woven fabrics, knit and dyeing factories;
– The products that incorporate yarns or special fabrics imported from Italy may have delays, due the factories are temporarily closed. We are in touch with the customers affected to find a solution.

We will do a new update when there is any alteration on the current situation that justifies a new communication.

Portugal has one of the best health systems of the world, most of the citizens have their immunity systems reinforced with vaccines against the Flu virus and Pneumonia, so, for sure the virus will not have too much impact as the other countries if all Portuguese follow the protocols.

Yes, it´s the truth, this year and until the final of May, 9 new companies have started their business with us, until end of the year, we hope to launch more 4, reaching our second best year since we start.

It is a special pleasure for us, to help the younger´s to develop their projects, most of them, had already contacted more than 5 companies before us, without success.

Most companies, only want for their customers, medium and big companies, already established in the market. Due to low budgets, the small quantities, and the inexperience of the owners, the startups are considered companies with high risk, and loss of time for the CEO`s

The entrepreneurs, mostly coming from EEC; Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, and England, but also from Korea, Russia, and USA.

The socks are the product most demanded, followed by the Goodyear shoes, then t-shirts, and long sleeves.

The high quality is preferred, for more 85% of the customers. Priority for the design instead of the comfort, the Eco-friendly materials are mandatory; the Organic Cotton and the Bamboo the most produced, but something is strange, 95% of clothing or shoes are for man.

Although we have been contacted by both gender, the women seem not to have consistent projects and they are very insecure, our conversion rate is 90% for the men projects and 10% for women projects, we sincerely hope  that the statistic has a big change one next months.
